China dress
Caleb
Caleb is one of Hope's favorite people. He and his mom were at her surgery with us for support. His family came by the next day to check on her and here are some shots of them playing. You may get a glimpse of how red Hope's eyes were. It was a little tough to see her little eyes so red. She was a trooper. She didn't sleep well but we think that was because of cutting a tooth.

Cool Baby
As I posted before, Hope loved the beach when we went on July 4th. Here she is in her Cool Baby shades. She leaves them on about 30 seconds max. I tell her she is a Cool Baby and she tries to put them back on. We are going to try to make it to the beach more since she loves it so much (Mama does too!).

Is it a table or is it a chair?
Happy 4th of July!
Scott took his girls to the beach today and we had so much fun. Of course I forgot to take my camera. I'll have to get the pics from my friend, Robin. We did put on our USA shirts after we got home and had a great evening. Hope loves riding in her wagon and Barkley loves going along for the walk. Right now we are sitting in our living room (9:00 pm) listening to the folks all around us shooting off fireworks. These aren't little fireworks, the are the big ones that sound like cannons. Hopefully, it won't be all night and Hope will sleep through it.

All American Girl
This season to celebrate America's birthday is extra special because we have our sweet Hope. I am thankful for being an American citizen and my daughter. I have been dressing her in red, whte and blue the past 2 days and have another outfit planned for tomorrow (the 4th). By the way, I am having fun with the pig tails! Yes, Hope is still wearing the patch and is scheduled for surgery on both eyes next Friday, July 11th. We are hoping this will correct the turning out. Please pray that all goes well with this. I do not like the idea of her being put to sleep. I am learning what I have heard other parents say about them wishing it was them rather than their children.
